The clouds of dust were as dense as the cotton material woven into the clothes we had on. We could barely breath - it was cold and the clouds made everything invisible. After the scare of that sand wyrm, we lost everything. There were no more stimpacks that would allow us to bring back Jocenté's arm. I think all I had was a piece of white Rainbow bread and a slice of Kraft Singles left in my inventory. Shahad, our scribe, has disappeared after our encounter with that Death Ghoul. All Perry had with him was the scabbard to the Excalibur 2.0, and the clothes on his back at the beginning of our journey. This journey to find the ancient history lost to war and famine - I didn't believe that this journey was worth it anymore. I didn't think there was any way to turn back now. All the monsters we've encountered - they're waiting for our return; ready to ravage our bodies on sight. "Please - continue." These were the last words I heard from Gemini before she passed out beside me. The clouds of sand got to her, and now, as I peer at her frozen body, it started to get to my psyche too. I felt Death's fist tightly wrapping onto my lungs. She's waiting for me to croak like a bull frog. But, I continued - I had to. Time was frozen. Day and night didn't exist in this space. It felt like my party was walking through this madness for a decade. But finally, we've reached a wall. Was this it? Was this a dead end? Was this journey...all for nothing? My mind started to race. I started to hyperventilate. Paranoia started to sing a ballad straight into my bones. "Alia!" I suddenly felt a warmth I haven't felt in a long time. I felt Perry caressing me back from the depths of Hell. He held me from my back as he always did when we first fell in love, but this time he raised my chin up. I saw it. It was as if someone had smeared the wall - it was a glass wall, too! The wall was just covered by a layer of sand and dust. I scrambled with Perry to clean off the excess filth. Upon doing so, we saw an unforeseen image with one word - *Illustrated by James Hillier (@nordacious)
